Teaching

Since coming to the University of Kentucky, I have had the opportunity to teach substantive courses independently, as well as teach under the valuable mentorship of several respected UK professors. In the classroom I work to engage with students and foster a positive learning environment that encourages free participation, open ideas and, most importantly, critical thinking. My teaching assignments have been diverse in their target audiences, with courses designed primarily for incoming freshmen, non-traditional students, and pre-law majors, respectfully. I am the recipient of the 2017 College of Arts and Sciences Outstanding Teaching Award at the University of Kentucky given for exceptional undergraduate instruction by a teaching assistant.
